Music
Ilva has been a music lover from a very early age and started singing very young. She started working as a singer professionally around the age of 19 when she participated in the Icelandic national final for the Eurovision song contest with the song 'Vornótt' which made it to the competition's final. In 2013 she participated again, with the song 'Lífið snýst', a duet with Svavar Knútur, also making it to the final. Following both appearances Ilva's songs were heard very regularly on Icelandic radio
Ilva's first album, 'Á góðri stund', was released in 2011 after a succesful tour around Iceland. She has also released other singles which did not appear on the album.
